1ST & 10 CLUB

The Cellular South 1st & 10 Club has become a marker that signals the end of the dog days of summer and the beginning of the most anticipated season of the year, College football!

Over the past 12 years Cellular South along with Regions Bank and the GMAC Bowl have kicked-off the college football season with a series of weekly meetings that feature a very diverse group of speakers from across the country. The club boasts one of the best speaker schedules in the southeast with a diverse lineup of sports celebrities, college and professional head coaches, along with media personalities. Previous speakers have included Nick Saban, Gene Chizic, Leroy Jordan, Pat Sullivan, Phil Fulmer, Mike Gottfried, and Tim Brando, just to name a few.  The club meets weekly throughout the college football season every Monday night.

In addition to an exciting speaker schedule, Cellular South along with Regions Bank will honor high school athletes and scholars for their performances on the field as well as in the classroom. Each week Cellular South will recognize two outstanding high school football players, while Regions Bank will honor two exceptional high school students. Recipients of the Regions Bank Scholar of the Week award will then be eligible for a scholarship that will be awarded the week of the GMAC Bowl at the GMAC Financial Services Mayor’s Luncheon.
